Manchester United Goalkeeper Andre Onana Joins Trabzonspor on Loan

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has joined Turkish club Trabzonspor on a season-long loan after losing his starting position at Old Trafford. Onana, signed from Inter Milan in 2023 for around £47 million, made only one appearance this season, a Carabao Cup defeat to Grimsby Town where he was at fault for goals, while Altay Bayindir has started all Premier League games for United. The signing of Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp further reduced Onana's future prospects at Manchester United, prompting the loan move. Onana's transfer was completed just before the Turkish transfer window closed, and he is expected to debut against Fenerbahce soon. Meanwhile, Onana's wife, model Melanie Kamayou, has already left Manchester ahead of their move to Turkey, marking a fresh start for the couple. The loan deal includes a pay rise for Onana, and his departure means United coach Ruben Amorim will not have to manage his absence during the Africa Cup of Nations.
