Meanwhile, Chattanooga's volleyball team also experienced a heartbreaking defeat, snapping their six-match winning streak by losing 3-2 to Jacksonville State. Despite a strong start and a valiant effort, UTC could not overcome JSU's effective hitting, losing the decisive fifth set 15-12. Freshman Kynli Kirkendoll shone for UTC, recording a career-high nine blocks despite the loss.
