Bengals Sign Brightwell, Pass on Fournette

The Cincinnati Bengals are revamping their backfield following the placement of running back Zack Moss on injured reserve due to a neck injury. They recently signed Gary Brightwell, a former New York Giants running back, to their practice squad after a series of workouts. Despite hosting veteran Leonard Fournette, the Bengals decided against signing him, opting for Brightwell instead. Fournette, known for his Super Bowl win and over 4,500 rushing yards, was considered for his experience. The Bengals had previously traded for Khalil Herbert to strengthen their running back options behind starter Chase Brown. Additionally, the Bengals brought in four-time Pro Bowl cornerback Xavien Howard for a visit and workout.
