Tekken 8 Releases Armor King DLC, Miary Zo Expected Winter

At EVO 2025, Bandai Namco revealed new DLC content for Tekken 8, including the release date for Armor King on October 16, 2025, with early access beginning October 13 for Season 2 pass holders. Armor King returns with a new spikier design, new moves such as a poison mist counter and fire buff, and classic wrestling-inspired attacks, enhancing his aggressive midrange playstyle. Alongside Armor King, a brand-new DLC character named Miary Zo was introduced, marking the first Tekken character from Madagascar and bringing a fighting style influenced by the local Moraingy martial art. The developers visited Madagascar to authentically represent its culture, although gameplay details for Miary Zo remain unrevealed, and community reactions to her design have been mixed due to perceived repetitive female character aesthetics. Additionally, a new stage called Baobab Horizon set in Madagascar will accompany Miary Zo’s winter 2025 release, completing the Season 2 Character & Stage Pass. Tekken 8 has sold three million copies since its launch and continues to grow its player base, with the EVO 2025 tournament featuring the game prominently and the upcoming Tekken World Tour scheduled in Malmö, Sweden.
