Aberdeen Signs Scotland Striker Kevin Nisbet Permanently
Kevin Nisbet has permanently returned to Aberdeen from Millwall for a fee around £300,000, signing a three-year contract as a long-term solution to the club's attacking options. Nisbet, who has 11 caps for Scotland, spent last season on loan at Aberdeen where he scored 14 goals and helped the team win the Scottish Cup, making a significant impact on and off the pitch. Despite making 30 appearances and scoring five goals for Millwall, Nisbet sought to return to Pittodrie, a move welcomed by Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin, who praised Nisbet's goal-scoring ability, leadership, and fit with the club's identity. The transfer also benefits Aberdeen's European squad registration by allowing additional overseas players due to Nisbet's association-grown status. Aberdeen had to increase their bids before securing the deal after initial offers were rejected by Millwall. Nisbet expressed enthusiasm about returning to a club where he feels at home, aiming to continue improving under Thelin's management.
