Russian Drone Missile Attacks Kill 23 Injure 300 Across Ukraine

Russian forces launched a series of missile and drone attacks across multiple regions of Ukraine, resulting in at least 23 deaths and nearly 300 injuries. The Dnipropetrovsk region, particularly the city of Dnipro, was heavily targeted, with a ballistic missile strike killing at least 20 people and damaging civilian infrastructure including schools, hospitals, dormitories, and a passenger train. Other affected areas include Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Odesa, where missile and drone strikes damaged residential buildings, industrial facilities, and educational institutions. Ukrainian officials, including Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, called on Western allies for increased military support and pressure on Moscow, emphasizing the urgency of an effective response amid ongoing NATO discussions. The attacks involved a variety of weapons such as Shahed-type drones, ballistic missiles, air-launched rockets, and artillery strikes. Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept a significant number of drones, but the sustained attacks have caused extensive destruction and civilian casualties across the country.
