UConn Freshman Sarah Strong Sets NCAA Records in Championship Victory

Sarah Strong, a freshman forward for UConn, played a pivotal role in leading her team to victory in the 2025 NCAA women’s basketball championship against South Carolina with a score of 82-59. Known for her exceptional performance throughout the season, she scored a game-high 24 points and set a new Division I record for freshmen by accumulating 114 points in the tournament. Strong's impressive play, including her ability to rebound, score, and defend, earned her comparisons to Charles Barkley from coach Geno Auriemma.
