Arizona's Lauryn Swann Named Big 12 Freshman of Week

Arizona freshman guard Lauryn Swann has been named Big 12 Freshman of the Week for the second time this season after a standout performance where she scored a career-high 22 points against Utah, hitting six of her seven three-point attempts. Swann's earlier honors came from her contributions in a victory over UNLV and a subsequent game against Chicago State. In her first start against UCF, although she scored only six points, she contributed with three rebounds, two assists, and a career-high three steals. Swann is currently the sole Wildcat to receive a weekly conference honor this season, averaging 8.1 points and 2.2 rebounds per game. Additionally, she has made a significant impact as one of only two freshmen in the Big 12 to earn multiple weekly recognitions. Meanwhile, in the Big Ten, freshman Tori McKinney from Minnesota has been recognized as Freshman of the Week, averaging 12.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5 assists in her last three games.
