Iron Maiden Plans Documentary Release for 2025

Universal Pictures Content Group has announced the commencement of production on an official untitled Iron Maiden documentary, set for international release in Autumn 2025 to coincide with the band's 50th anniversary. The film will provide an emotive exploration of Iron Maiden's history, featuring insights from band members and fans, including notable figures like Javier Bardem and Lars Ulrich. It will showcase exclusive interviews, including the final one with original vocalist Paul Di'Anno, who passed away last year, alongside rare archival footage and new animations of their mascot, Eddie. The documentary aims to highlight Iron Maiden's cultural legacy and impact on rock music and heavy metal. Iron Maiden, formed in London in 1975, has sold over 100 million records and performed more than 2,500 concerts globally. Universal Pictures has emphasized their commitment to authentically telling the band's story and celebrating their creative journey.
