Katy Perry Marks '143' Anniversary, Notes June Split

Katy Perry marked the one-year anniversary of her album 143 with an Instagram post that included behind-the-scenes photos and a lengthy letter thanking fans and calling the record her "I love you" to them. She wrote that records are snapshots of an artist’s life and reflected on reconnecting with fans through the Lifetimes Tour. Perry said the year has been about growth, community and learning from history and acknowledged personal upheaval, alluding to her June split from Orlando Bloom. She described her time in the spotlight as leaving her "beloved, tested and tried," said she is "letting it unfold naturally," and cited a gifted book, What Katy Did Next, as inspiration to keep moving forward.
