Atlanta Police Link Lil Baby to Teen Murders Amid Gang Violence

Atlanta police have linked the actions of rapper Lil Baby to the tragic deaths of two 13-year-old boys, Jakody Davis and Lamon Freeman, who were shot during a birthday party in July 2024. Major Ralph Woolfolk stated that the violence was incited by a shooting at Lil Baby's music video shoot in May 2024, which occurred in a rival gang's territory. Following this incident, a high-ranking gang member orchestrated a retaliatory attack that targeted the boys, who had no ties to gang activity. Woolfolk described Lil Baby's actions as 'cowardly,' emphasizing that they led to a series of retaliatory shootings and ultimately the deaths of the teenagers. Seven arrests have been made in connection with the case, and authorities are offering a $50,000 reward for further information. The police department intends to hold Lil Baby accountable for his role in the escalating violence.
