Father Charged with Murder of Missing Teen

Darnell Jones, the father of 13-year-old Keimani Latigue, has been charged with murder, abduction, and felonious assault after her body was found in an abandoned Toledo home. Latigue had been missing since March 18, and her disappearance triggered a widespread search in the community. An autopsy revealed she died from multiple incised wounds to the neck, and her death was ruled a homicide. Jones, who also goes by the name Ogletree, was the last person seen with Latigue and provided inconsistent statements to authorities. He was shot and injured by Columbus police during an arrest attempt following a two-day surveillance operation. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is examining the shooting incident involving police.
