Eight Arrested in Alabama Bibb County Child Sex Trafficking Ring

An extensive child sex trafficking and abuse ring was uncovered in Bibb County, Alabama, centered around an underground bunker in Brent where at least 10 children aged 3 to 15 were drugged, tortured, and sexually abused. Eight suspects, including Olivia Shailee Elam who faces 34 counts such as rape, sodomy, human trafficking, kidnapping, aggravated child abuse, and sexual torture, have been indicted and arrested. The ring’s operators allegedly charged up to $1,000 per night for sexual access to the children, some of whom were related to the suspects. The abuse reportedly began in 2022, with victims tied to beds and poles, sometimes subjected to punishment and sexual torture involving animal shock collars. The investigation began after a child abuse claim triggered searches revealing the underground facility, where children were not permanently held but brought in repeatedly for abuse. Bibb County Sheriff Jody Wade emphasized the horrific nature of the crimes and noted that the victims are now in the custody of the Alabama Department of Human Resources, while the suspects await arraignment and further legal proceedings.
