Sports Equinox: All Four Leagues Play Tonight

Tonight, Monday Oct. 27, is the 32nd Sports Equinox as MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL and MLS playoff matches all take place. The marquee event is World Series Game 3 in Los Angeles — the Blue Jays and Dodgers are tied 1-1, with Max Scherzer facing Tyler Glasnow. Monday Night Football features the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Washington Commanders at 8:15 p.m. ET, with Jayden Daniels sidelined by a hamstring injury. The NBA opens an 11-game slate including Cavaliers-Pistons and Nuggets-Timberwolves, with Minnesota set to play without Anthony Edwards. The NHL has two games (Senators-Bruins and Penguins-Blues) and MLS has first-round playoff matches (FC Cincinnati vs. Columbus Crew; Minnesota United vs. Seattle Sounders). Sportsbooks say betting activity is up — BetMGM reported about 15% more tickets on last year’s four-sport day — and operators including BetMGM, FanDuel, DraftKings and bet365 are offering parlay and profit boosts and special markets.
