Wrong-Way Crash Kills Woman on Sawgrass Expressway

A fatal wrong-way crash occurred early Wednesday morning on the Sawgrass Expressway near Oakland Park Boulevard in Sunrise, Florida, when a 37-year-old woman driving south in the northbound lanes collided with a semi-truck and another car. The woman died at the scene, and two others were hospitalized due to the crash. Significant damage was reported to the vehicles, and a fuel spill required cleanup. All northbound lanes in the area were closed for several hours as authorities investigated and cleared debris.
