Corpse Bride 20th Anniversary: 4K, Doll, Screenings
To mark the 20th anniversary of Tim Burton's 2005 stop-motion film Corpse Bride, Warner Bros. will release a newly restored 4K Ultra HD edition on September 22 and 23, available in both standard and SteelBook formats and featuring High Dynamic Range visuals, Dolby Atmos-TrueHD sound, and new bonus features. Select theaters will also host special screenings in October 2025 as part of the celebration. The commemorative home media release includes featurettes like 'Digging up the Past' and 'Til Death Do Us Art,' offering fresh insights into the film's creation. Mattel is joining the festivities with a Monster High collector doll of Emily, the Corpse Bride, expanding their line of horror and Burton-inspired figures. The film, co-directed by Tim Burton and Mike Johnson and voiced by Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Emily Watson, was both a box office and critical success, earning an Academy Award nomination. These anniversary events highlight the enduring appeal of Corpse Bride through new media, collectibles, and screenings.
