St. Louis County Explosion Injures Three Damages 20 Homes
A large explosion occurred in St. Louis County on Monday morning near the 13800 block of Evan Aire Drive, affecting multiple homes in the area. The blast damaged or destroyed up to 20 homes, with at least five houses on fire and three confirmed injuries; all residents are believed to be accounted for. Emergency responders, including numerous fire departments, paramedics, the bomb and arson unit, and gas company Spire, quickly arrived on the scene. Spire has shut off all natural gas in the vicinity and reported no issues with their infrastructure. The explosion forced the closure of nearby U.S. 67 and a Walmart store less than a mile away. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the explosion and have asked the public to avoid the area as the situation develops.
