Jorge Martin won the German MotoGP sprint race at Sachsenring, extending his lead over title rival Francesco Bagnaia, who finished third behind Miguel Oliveira. Martin had initially taken pole position by setting a new lap record but slipped to third at the start before regaining and maintaining the lead. Marc Marquez, who started 13th due to injuries, made a remarkable recovery to finish sixth. Fabio Quartararo was the leading Yamaha rider in 14th, while Aleix Espargaro withdrew due to injury. The race conditions were challenging due to cold temperatures and wind, affecting tyre choices and causing multiple crashes during practice sessions.
