USPS Launches SpongeBob Forever Stamps Nationwide August 1

The U.S. Postal Service is celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2025 with new stamp releases, including a special 20-stamp sheet titled "250 Years of Delivering Stamps," depicting a mail carrier's route through a town across four seasons, available from July 23. Additionally, a modernized version of an 1875 stamp featuring Benjamin Franklin will be issued on June 23 as part of a prestige booklet. Starting August 1, the USPS will launch limited-edition SpongeBob SquarePants Forever stamps featuring characters like SpongeBob, Patrick Star, Squidward, Sandy Cheeks, Mr. Krabs, and Gary, with a first-day-of-issue event in Times Square that is free and open to the public. The SpongeBob stamps, designed by USPS art director Greg Breeding in collaboration with Nickelodeon, highlight the show's vibrant characters and are priced at the First-Class Mail one-ounce rate. These releases reflect the USPS’s efforts to honor its history and appeal to collectors and fans of popular culture alike.
