Hamas Leader Thanks Hezbollah Chief for Support

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar has publicly thanked Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah for the group's support in the ongoing conflict with Israel, marking a rare communication amid heightened hostilities. In a letter dated Monday, Sinwar praised Hezbollah's rocket attacks on northern Israel, which have intensified recently, and described the war as 'one of the most honorable battles for the Palestinian people.' Since the onset of the conflict on October 7, over 41,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed in Gaza amidst widespread destruction and displacement. Sinwar's letter emphasizes a commitment to the 'axis of resistance' led by Iran, highlighting a shared goal of combating Israeli actions. Despite significant losses, including approximately 500 Hezbollah fighters, the exchanges of fire between the two groups and Israel continue, leading to further casualties on all sides. The ongoing conflict has severely impacted the Palestinian economy and resulted in a humanitarian crisis, with many displaced individuals in Gaza and the West Bank facing dire conditions.
