NYC Mayoral Frontrunner Mamdani Linked to Pro-Terrorism Activism

Zohran Mamdani, a socialist frontrunner for New York City mayor, co-founded the Bowdoin College chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), a group known for its radical anti-Israel activism. During his time at Bowdoin, the SJP chapter publicly supported Rasmea Odeh, a convicted terrorist responsible for two deadly bombings in Jerusalem in 1969 that killed two college students; Odeh was later deported from the U.S. for immigration fraud after concealing her terrorist past. A Facebook account linked to Mamdani "liked" a post calling for "justice" for Odeh, which has drawn condemnation and accusations of antisemitism and extremism from critics. Odeh was affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a U.S.-designated terror group, and was sentenced to life in prison in Israel before being released in a prisoner exchange. Mamdani's political rise has sparked controversy due to these associations and his past praise for Hamas-linked figures and other extremist individuals. Opponents argue that his ties to such radical groups and causes raise serious questions about his stance on terrorism and his ability to protect all New Yorkers.
