Seattle Man Charged After 14 Binders of Child Porn Discovered

A 63-year-old man, Arthur Rickard, has been charged with possession of child sexual abuse material after 14 binders containing explicit images were discovered in a dumpster in Seattle. The police investigation began on March 2 when two individuals found the binders while dumpster diving and alerted authorities. Following the discovery, police executed a search warrant at Rickard's apartment on March 21, where additional child pornography was found on his computer and in boxes. During questioning, Rickard admitted to having molested approximately 50 children prior to 1983 and confessed to viewing and printing child pornography in the late 1990s. Rickard is facing charges in King County court, with a bail set at $50,000, and is scheduled for his next court appearance on April 7. The materials found included images dated as far back as 1998 and were meticulously cataloged.
