Sam Williams Suspended by NFL for Conduct Violation

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Sam Williams has been suspended for three games by the NFL for violating the league's Personal Conduct Policy, linked to traffic-related arrests in 2023, including reckless driving and possession of a controlled substance charges. Williams, who has been on injured reserve due to a season-ending knee injury, will forfeit approximately $186,882 in salary but will not miss playing time. Although the suspension officially began before the Cowboys' game against the San Francisco 49ers, he remains ineligible for upcoming matches against the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles. Williams, a former standout at Lee High School and second-round draft pick from Ole Miss, recorded 48 tackles and 8.5 sacks over his first two seasons with the Cowboys. Despite his current suspension, he remains on the team's injured reserve list and is eligible for reinstatement after November 11.
