Rahul Dravid Returns as Rajasthan Royals Coach

Former India head coach Rahul Dravid is set to return to the Rajasthan Royals (RR) as head coach for the IPL 2025 season. Dravid, who led India to a T20 World Cup victory in 2024, previously captained RR in 2012 and 2013 and served as team director and mentor from 2014 to 2015. He has already signed a deal with RR and is involved in player retention discussions ahead of the upcoming mega auction. Dravid's long-standing relationship with RR captain Sanju Samson is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the team. Former India batter Vikram Rathour is likely to join as an assistant coach, while Kumar Sangakkara will continue as RR's director of cricket, managing other franchise teams. RR aims to end their title drought, having last won the IPL in 2008 and finishing as runners-up in 2022.
