A 20-year-old woman from Agra reported being raped on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway after being lured by two men who promised her 'genuine educational certificates' for a fee. After initially paying Rs 15,000, she was instructed to meet the men on May 10 to collect additional documents, where she was then assaulted and filmed. The woman faced significant hurdles in filing her complaint, as Agra police claimed the incident fell under Lucknow's jurisdiction and refused to register her FIR. It wasn't until four months later that she was able to lodge her complaint at the Lucknow police station. The police have launched a search for the suspects, who have been identified as Rakesh Kumar and Srinivas Verma. The case has raised concerns about police responsiveness to victims of sexual assault in India.
