Vision RNG Secures $207 Million for Ohio Projects

Vision RNG has successfully secured $207 million in project financing from HASI, which includes a $130 million construction facility and a $77 million investment tax credit bridge loan. This funding will support the development of facilities that convert landfill gas into renewable natural gas (RNG) at Ohio landfills operated by WIN Waste Innovations, significantly enhancing Vision RNG's growth strategy aimed at sustainable energy solutions and carbon emission reduction. The projects are expected to produce over 2 million British thermal units of RNG annually, with plans to double this output within 11 years, thus positioning Vision RNG among the largest RNG producers in the U.S. The anticipated annual reduction of approximately 120,000 tons of fossil-based CO2 emissions highlights the environmental benefits of the initiative. This financing not only promotes cleaner energy alternatives but is also expected to stimulate local job creation during the construction and operation phases. Vision RNG's CFO, Kevin Johnson, emphasized that this partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing their ambitious plans for renewable energy production.
