Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena criticized the Delhi government for its neglect and apathy, claiming that residents of West Delhi are living in conditions 'worse than hell'. Following his inspection of multiple localities, he described severe infrastructure issues such as deep potholes, overflowing drains, and stagnant sewage. Saxena highlighted that daily-wage laborers, women, children, and the elderly are the most affected by this mismanagement. In response, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused Saxena of obstructing the government's efforts and stated that his actions have delayed necessary repairs and maintenance work. Despite the criticisms, Saxena urged the Chief Minister to take immediate action to resolve these ongoing problems. The situation has been exacerbated over years, leading to industrial areas becoming dumping grounds for waste and creating health hazards for residents.
