Anurag Mehrotra appointed MD of JSW MG Motor India, to lead EV expansion

JSW MG Motor India has appointed Anurag Mehrotra as its new Managing Director, succeeding Rajeev Chaba, who will remain involved as a member of the Joint Steering Committee. Mehrotra brings nearly 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, having held leadership roles at Tata Motors and Ford India, where he focused on strategy and international business. His expertise is expected to enhance the company's strategic initiatives and strengthen its core brand values of diversity, experience, innovation, and community. The company is currently the second-largest electric passenger vehicle manufacturer in India and plans to invest ₹5,000 crore to expand production. Mehrotra's leadership comes as JSW MG Motor aims to accelerate its growth in the New Energy Vehicle sector with an ambitious product pipeline. The transition reflects the company's commitment to sustainable mobility and an expansion strategy in the competitive EV market.
