NASA's Europa Clipper and Hunter's Moon Highlights

The Hunter's Moon, the brightest and closest supermoon of 2024, was observed on October 17, offering a spectacular display as the third of four supermoons this year, with historical ties to autumn hunting practices. The next and final supermoon of the year, the Beaver Moon, will occur on November 15. Meanwhile, NASA's Europa Clipper mission has successfully launched, embarking on a mission to explore Jupiter's moon Europa, which may harbor conditions suitable for life. The spacecraft, the largest NASA has built for a mission to another planet, will travel 1.8 billion miles and is scheduled to orbit Jupiter by April 2030.
