Jordan Evacuates First Group of Gazan Children for Medical Treatment

Jordan has commenced the 'Jordanian Medical Corridor – Gaza' initiative, successfully evacuating the first group of sick children from Gaza for medical treatment in Jordan. This initiative, announced by King Abdullah II, aims to provide care for 2,000 children suffering from severe health issues, including cancer, as part of Jordan's humanitarian efforts during the ongoing conflict in Gaza. The children, accompanied by family members, were welcomed at Marka Airport by medical officials and will receive specialized treatment in both public and private hospitals. The evacuation is being conducted in phases, with additional groups expected to follow. Transportation for these children is facilitated by Jordanian ambulances and military buses, with military helicopters on standby if necessary. This effort highlights Jordan's commitment to aiding Gazans amidst the humanitarian crisis.
