Armed Woman Barricades Madison Restaurant, Taken Into Custody

An armed woman barricaded herself inside a Captain D's restaurant on Gallatin Pike North in Madison, Tennessee, on Saturday. Police responded to the incident around 10:30 a.m., and negotiators were brought to the scene as authorities blocked off part of Gallatin Pike. All employees and customers were able to leave the restaurant safely, and no one else was inside with the woman during the standoff. Police reported that shots were fired, although it remains unclear if there were any injuries. The woman eventually exited the restaurant voluntarily and was taken into custody by Metro Nashville Police just after 2 p.m. The situation has since been resolved, and the investigation is ongoing.
