Blue Origin plans all-female crew for historic NS-31 flight

Blue Origin is set to make history this spring with its NS-31 mission, featuring an all-female crew for the first time since 1963. The six-member team includes singer Katy Perry, CBS co-host Gayle King, and Lauren Sánchez, who is engaged to Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos. Other crew members are former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen, and film producer Kerianne Flynn. The flight will last approximately 11 minutes, allowing passengers to experience weightlessness and view Earth from above the Kármán line. Sánchez, who organized the mission, expressed her excitement and hopes that the crew's journey will inspire future generations. Blue Origin has successfully launched 52 people into space since its inception, with the NS-31 mission marking a significant milestone in its history.
