Delta Pilot Arrested for Child Sex Assault

Delta Air Lines pilot Rustom Bhagwagar, 34, was arrested at San Francisco International Airport on July 26, 2025, after landing a flight from Minneapolis, in connection with alleged sex crimes against a child. Contra Costa County Sheriff’s deputies and Homeland Security agents boarded the aircraft and arrested him in view of passengers and crew. Bhagwagar faces five counts of oral copulation with a child under 10 and is being held at the Martinez Detention Facility on $5 million bail. The investigation began in April 2025 after a child sexual abuse report was filed, and authorities obtained a Ramey arrest warrant prior to the arrest. Delta Air Lines has suspended Bhagwagar and pledged full cooperation with law enforcement, emphasizing its zero-tolerance policy.
