Dodgers Hire Chris Woodward as First-Base Coach

The Los Angeles Dodgers have appointed Chris Woodward as their new first-base coach, marking his return to the team after previously serving in that role from 2016 to 2018. Woodward fills the position left vacant by Clayton McCullough, who has become the manager of the Miami Marlins. Previously, Woodward managed the Texas Rangers from 2019 to 2022, finishing with a record of 211-287. Since his departure from the Rangers, he has been a senior advisor in the Dodgers' player development department. In his new position, he will oversee base running and infield responsibilities, while third base coach Dino Ebel will shift to outfield duties. Dodgers general manager Brandon Gomes expressed excitement about Woodward's return, highlighting his contributions to the team's recent successes.
