Stella King Joins Burberry Board in 2025

Burberry has announced the appointment of Stella King, currently the Chief Chinese Business Officer at Moncler, as a Non-Executive Director, effective April 1, 2025. This move comes amidst rumors of a potential takeover bid by Moncler for Burberry, which has seen its share price decline significantly. King, who has extensive experience in the luxury market and previously held positions at Sergio Rossi and Lane Crawford, is expected to bring valuable insights into the Asian consumer market. Burberry's current board members, Fabiola Arredondo and Antoine de Saint-Affrique, will retire in July 2025. Gerry Murphy, Burberry's Chair, emphasized King's expertise as a crucial asset for the company's revitalization efforts.
