Scott Laughton Leads Flyers with Four Goals
Scott Laughton scored a career-high four goals to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 4-1 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. This performance marked Laughton's second career hat trick and made him the first Flyers player to achieve four goals in a game since 2002, including a shorthanded tally and two empty-netters. Aleksei Kolosov, the Flyers' goaltender, made 25 saves, narrowly missing a shutout. The Red Wings, despite strong efforts from goalie Cam Talbot, have lost six of their last seven games, continuing a challenging streak as they have historically struggled in Philadelphia, winning only two of their past 22 games there. The Flyers have now secured their second consecutive victory.
