US Child Sexual Abuse Cases Lead to Convictions

Recent convictions across the United States highlight the ongoing issue of child sexual abuse cases. Gregory Danekas in Dixon received a six-year prison sentence for a crime committed 30 years ago involving a 12-year-old girl. Ronald Ashby Newton from Spotsylvania was convicted for molesting a child over several years, starting when she was 10, and faces up to 10 years in prison. In Arkansas, John Paul Barron was sentenced to 35 years for multiple counts of rape against minors. Avery Nickolas Rabon in Davidson County pleaded guilty to attempted statutory rape and received a sentence of 157-249 months. Lastly, Lawrence “Trey” White III was sentenced to 25 years in Norfolk for the prolonged sexual abuse of a child in his care.
