Netflix's Wolf King Animated Series Returns with Final Season September

Netflix has announced that the animated fantasy series Wolf King, adapted from Curtis Jobling’s Wereworld books, will return for a second and final season premiering on September 11, 2025. The series follows Drew Ferran, voiced by Ceallach Spellman, as he comes of age and embraces his role as the last werewolf and rightful ruler fighting to reclaim his throne from the tyrannical Lion lords. Season 2 continues Drew's quest, exploring the heavy responsibilities of kingship and the challenge of choosing a queen, while featuring returning cast members such as Nina Barker-Francis, Georgia Lock, and Chris Lew Kum Hoi alongside new additions. Produced by Lime Pictures and Jellyfish Pictures and directed by Tom Brass, the show has been praised for its epic storytelling and animation, with Season 1 accumulating 33.7 million hours viewed globally. Despite its success, Netflix has confirmed that this second season will conclude the series, joining a recent pattern of ending several animated shows. The show’s production involved multiple partners, including animation studio Assemblage Entertainment and post-production companies Dock10 and Brain Audio.
