Former Clackamas County Deputy Sentenced After Punching Inmate
JeanaMarie K. Fisher, a former Clackamas County jail deputy, was sentenced to one year of probation for punching an inmate six times in the face during an incident in July 2023. After pleading guilty to second-degree official misconduct, she was also ordered to perform 40 hours of community service and surrender her law enforcement certification. Surveillance footage showed Fisher attempting to wake the inmate, who was asleep, before the altercation escalated when the inmate threw clothing at her. Fisher had been on administrative leave since the incident and was officially discharged from her position in February 2025 after serving since 2015. The case was investigated by the Oregon State Police following a review by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. Charges of first-degree official misconduct and harassment were dropped as part of her plea agreement.
