A controlled explosion for a film set in London near the O2 Arena caused a significant fire on Saturday evening, alarming local residents who reported hearing loud bangs and seeing thick black smoke. The London Fire Brigade and Metropolitan Police confirmed that the explosion was part of a pre-planned event in Canning Town and posed no risk to the public. Despite the fire spreading out of control and destroying a car, van, and lorry, no injuries were reported. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were deployed to manage and extinguish the blaze, which was eventually brought under control.
