Apple's 'F1 The Movie' Returns to IMAX
Apple Original Films’ 'F1 The Movie' is set for an IMAX re-release on August 8, 2025, after achieving record-breaking box office numbers and high audience demand. Starring Brad Pitt as a veteran driver returning to compete with a struggling F1 team, the film is directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Lewis Hamilton. It has become the highest-grossing film of Pitt's career and Apple's most successful movie, earning over $550 million globally, including $85 million in IMAX. The film has been lauded for its action sequences and cinematic quality, receiving strong critical and audience acclaim. An expanded IMAX and large-format release will follow on August 15, and the film continues to be shown in standard theaters. A streaming release on Apple TV+ is planned for a later date.
