Top 2026, 2027 Recruits Plan Gonzaga Visits
Gonzaga basketball is intensifying its high school recruiting efforts, as both Tyran Stokes Jr., the top-ranked prospect in the 2026 class, and Baba Oladotun, the No. 1 recruit in the 2027 class, have announced plans to visit the campus. While Stokes Jr.'s visit date remains undisclosed for privacy reasons, his mother confirmed he will visit Gonzaga, Oregon, and USC before making a college decision, following previous visits to Louisville, Kentucky, and Kansas. Oladotun, a Maryland native and highly sought-after small forward, is tentatively planning an October visit that may coincide with Gonzaga's Kraziness in the Kennel event, and he is also considering reclassifying to the 2026 class. Both players are being courted by numerous elite programs nationwide, but Gonzaga's move to the Pac-12 and recent recruiting momentum could make it an appealing destination. Gonzaga is also expected to host other top recruits, such as 2026 four-star center Sam Funches and five-star point guard Ikenna Alozie, underscoring the program's aggressive approach ahead of its conference transition. Oladotun has cited the importance of a school's ability to prepare him for the NBA, support his faith, and offer strong academics, factors that could favor Gonzaga's Jesuit background and history of producing NBA talent.
