Dame Joan Collins, famed for her role as Alexis Carrington in Dynasty, is set to portray Wallis Simpson, the Duchess of Windsor, in the upcoming biopic The Bitter End, directed by Mike Newell. The film explores the previously untold and chilling final years of Simpson's life, focusing on her complex and coercive relationship with her French lawyer Suzanne Blum, portrayed by Isabella Rossellini. The story reveals how Blum exercised near-total control over Simpson during her declining health, which left the Duchess isolated and vulnerable in her Parisian home.
