IHG Plans Three New Hotels Adding 1,700 Rooms in Saudi Arabia

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a partnership with Saudi real estate developer Ashaad to open three new hotels in Saudi Arabia, aligning with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 to boost tourism. The hotels—Hotel Indigo Jeddah Gate, InterContinental Al Khobar Al Hamra, and voco Al Khobar Al Andalus—are slated to open between 2028 and 2030, collectively adding over 1,700 rooms to IHG's portfolio. The InterContinental Al Khobar Al Hamra will offer luxury accommodations adjacent to the Al Shubaily Grand Mall in the Eastern Province, targeting both business and leisure travelers. voco Al Khobar Al Andalus, IHG's fastest-growing premium brand, will feature 717 rooms near the Corniche, emphasizing a relaxed yet premium hospitality experience. Hotel Indigo Jeddah Gate will be part of a mixed-use development near historic and commercial landmarks in Jeddah, focusing on locally inspired, lifestyle-driven stays. This expansion strengthens IHG's footprint across key Saudi cities and underscores its commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia's economic diversification and hospitality innovation under Vision 2030.
