Jorge Martin Completes Misano MotoGP Comeback Test

Jorge Martin, the reigning MotoGP world champion, has successfully completed a private test at the Misano circuit, riding Aprilia’s RS-GP25 for the first time since his severe injuries at the Qatar Grand Prix in April. Martin, who missed all but one of the first eleven rounds of the 2025 season, completed 64 laps during the session and reported feeling positive about his performance. This test was permitted under a new MotoGP rule allowing injured riders to test privately before returning to competition. Although Martin has been cleared for testing, he has not yet been cleared to race at the upcoming German Grand Prix. A final medical check will determine his fitness to return at the Czech Grand Prix in Brno, scheduled for next week. Martin's comeback is taking place amid a contract dispute with Aprilia, who require him to fulfill his contract through 2026.
