2026 Women's Asian Cup and U19 Asia Cup Announced

The 2026 Women's Asian Cup will take place from March 1-21 in Australia, with matches hosted across five venues in Sydney, Perth, and the Gold Coast. Major cities like Melbourne, Brisbane, and Adelaide will not host games due to domestic competition conflicts. The Women's Asian Cup is anticipated to build on the success of the Women's World Cup, which was co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand in 2023. Football Australia aims to leverage the tournament to boost player participation, particularly in Queensland. Meanwhile, the inaugural Women's U19 Asia Cup will see India facing Pakistan on December 15 in Malaysia, as part of Group A which also includes Nepal. The tournament, organized by the Asian Cricket Council, will run from December 15 to 22 at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval in Kuala Lumpur, featuring six teams divided into two groups.
