BCCI to Elect ICC Representatives at AGM
The BCCI's 93rd Annual General Meeting in Bengaluru, scheduled for Sunday, will primarily focus on electing two representatives to the ICC, ahead of a crucial conclave in Dubai post the Women's T20 World Cup. Current BCCI Secretary Jay Shah will continue in his role until he assumes the ICC chairmanship on December 1. Although the search for Shah's successor is not officially on the agenda, informal discussions about potential candidates, namely Anil Patel and Rohan Jaitley, are expected. Patel is currently viewed as the frontrunner for the secretary position, which will be ratified at a Special General Meeting (SGM) to be announced post-AGM. Additionally, the AGM will address the induction of representatives from the Indian Cricketer's Association and other administrative matters including budget approvals and sub-committee formations.
