Nebraska Wrestling Achieves Historic NCAA Finish
Nebraska's wrestling team achieved a historic second-place finish at the 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships, trailing only Penn State. Ridge Lovett and Antrell Taylor emerged as individual champions, with Lovett securing a victory against Caleb Henson of Virginia Tech and Taylor defeating Purdue’s Joey Blaze. This accomplishment marks Nebraska's first individual wrestling title since 2011 and the first time since 1984 that the team has had two champions in one year. Additionally, Nebraska garnered eight All-America honorees, contributing to their strong overall performance. The success earned Head Coach Mark Manning the NCAA Tournament Coach of the Year award.
