FBI Recovers Weapon with Ideological Engraved Ammo in Charlie Kirk Killing

Charlie Kirk, a conservative political influencer, was fatally shot while speaking at Utah Valley University as part of his American Comeback Tour. The shooter, described as a college-age male, fired a single shot from an elevated rooftop position before fleeing the scene. Law enforcement recovered a high-powered Mauser .30-06 caliber bolt-action rifle wrapped in a towel in a nearby wooded area, along with a spent cartridge and three unspent rounds in the magazine. Notably, all cartridges were engraved with messages and symbols expressing transgender and anti-fascist ideology, including phrases such as "Trans Rights Are Human Rights." The FBI has taken the firearm and ammunition for DNA and fingerprint analysis and continues to work leads generated from the investigation. Surveillance footage and forensic evidence are being analyzed as authorities pursue the suspect.
