Wicked Streams on Peacock March 21 Post $727M Success

The highly successful musical film 'Wicked,' which grossed over $727 million globally and received 10 Oscar nominations, will begin streaming on Peacock on March 21. The film, directed by Jon M. Chu, is an adaptation of the Broadway musical exploring the backstory of 'The Wizard of Oz' characters Elphaba and Glinda, played by Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, respectively. Alongside the film, Peacock will offer a sing-along version and a collection of bonus content, such as behind-the-scenes features and deleted scenes. This release comes nearly four months after its theatrical debut on Christmas Day, where it set records as the highest-grossing stage adaptation. The sequel, 'Wicked: For Good,' is set for a theatrical release on November 21.
